Dear All,
We are delighted to share the 10th issue of OM RISE Magazine with you. For this issue, the theme is Yoga, Āyurveda and Society. One of the interesting contributions of OM RISE in the past two years has been sharing ideas that cover different aspects of our life – like society, spirituality, business, festivals, culture, and leadership. The responses from the contributors as well as readers have been very encouraging. In line with the theme of the OM RISE, this issue on Yoga, Āyurveda and Society is being published on the special occasion of International Yoga Day (21st June). Ever since the day was declared by the UN, countries across the globe have been celebrating it with deep interest. One of the most fortunate parts is that many are engaging in discussions and deliberations on the deeper meanings of Yoga (which go beyond physical exercise). As a result, there has been an increase in research on the applied aspects of yoga. A parallel development in the Āyurveda stream is also visible and healthcare professionals and patients are more positive about its role in our health. These positive developments will bring further improvements in society as people learn from others’ experiences; word-of-mouth publicity has been fundamental in the growth of both Yoga and Āyurveda.
With this backdrop, we hope that this issue will be an interesting read for the audience as it has articles from experiential and conceptual perspectives along with reflections.
