Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, India recently launched the Centre of Excellence for Ethics, Responsible Organizations (CERO).The Centre aims to serve as a platform for education, research, and engagement on the challenges of ethics and social and environmental responsibility that confront current and future business leaders and policymakers. The Centre’s mission is to prepare individuals and organizations with the knowledge and techniques needed to create ethical, responsible, and sustainable organizations. The larger vision is ‘To build a Better World’, a sustainable, peaceful, and just world that continues to generate value for its stakeholders. The Centre was inaugurated on the 7th of Oct 2021 with a panel discussion on the theme: “Integrating SDGs for Responsible Organizations: Role of Business, Academia, Government, Civil Society & CSO’s.”
As a beginning, the Centre will work towards common goals of sustainability by developing individuals and building practices that are visible to ensure that professed and practiced values are consistent. Collaborating with organizations, the Centre will disseminate a sense of value- driven purpose to enable organizations to understand and adopt sustainability to become responsible and ethical businesses.
